The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the credit card machine did not work so we had to go to the bank to get cash.

Room very small and chairs uncomfortable. No place to store luggage.

The double room we had for 3 nights was spacious with a an agreeable outlook, and the en suite bathroom was also big. The view of large suburban gardens from both windows was pretty. The hotel turned out to be situated on a bus route direct to the cathedral square beside the theatre, and was about 15 minutes walk from the main railway station. Osnabrueck is a small but agreeable historic town in north Germany.
The unimaginative breakfast using the cheapest possible ingredients (dull white rolls, processed cheese, nasty salami and semi-spam, jam without fruit, no fresh milk) was typical of the hotel management's failure to match up to normal standards today. In the room there was no kettle or facility for making tea. The hot water in the shower went cold. The bedsheets and pillowcases were brushed nylon, and the quite large cupboard was liable to fall apart, so badly was it made. No plug in the washbasin. The internet access was complicated and service was intermittent. The owner who served breakfast at table was given to would- be comic or ironical repartee in a Fawlty Towers manner that one just did not need. The French window on to the terrace outside our room was locked, and the terrace itself, like the side of the bathroom window which had lost its tiles, was under repair. Not up to the price charged,

I had a decent-sized room, and a quite large en suite bathroom
Dreadful breakfast with the cheapest materials and the hardest-boiled egg. Also the owner's manner serving breakfast was straight out of Fawlty Towers, including rudeness in his uncalled-for repartee. The furnishings in our room were the absolute cheapest, and the worst aspect was the dreadful quality of the sheets and pillowcases (apparently made of brushed nylon) and hand thin inadequate towels in the bathroom. Prices were nowhere near cheap enough for the poor quality of the establishment.

There was no reception and I had to call the hotel (internationally on my phone which is expensive) for someone to come open the door after I had pressed the bell outside for a while. This was normal business hours about 4pm! Staff were not rude but not particularly friendly. The hotel is too far from anything unless you have a car at use.

Friendly helpfull staff.
States on the advert that it has car parking available. This is not the case and it only has street parking outside, if you are lucky enough to get one.

Convenient as a place for a stopover
The restaurant wasn't open and it was a Saturday night and there were no facilities for making tea or coffee or even buying on the premises but large notices saying you would be fined if food etc was bought into the room. Nearest eateries seemed to be all takeaways! Town quite a walk and not really clear where to eat. After a long drive we wanted to eat and relax. Quilts on the bed a bit thin and only one pillow.
